Group Health Renewal Check

Before you compare alternatives, understand the renewal you already have.

I do not want to start by assuming another carrier, another funding arrangement or another benefits structure is better. I want to know what your current renewal is actually doing first.

I will work through the renewal and enrollment figures, then show you what I would verify before deciding which options are worth evaluating.

A different option only matters if it solves the actual problem.

Fully insured, level-funded, self-funded, PEO and other structures solve different problems. The first step is identifying what changed in the current arrangement without assuming the answer in advance.

  • The renewal has created enough pressure to consider alternatives.
  • The current numbers have not yet been separated into enrollment and average-cost movement.
  • The right next path depends on what the renewal actually shows.

What I will establish first

I want to understand the existing renewal before I compare structures or markets.

Renewal movement

Give me the prior and renewal medical-plan amounts.

Enrollment movement

Give me the enrolled employee count for both periods.

Funding arrangement

Tell me whether the plan is fully insured, level funded, self funded, through a PEO or master plan, or if you are not sure.

You will have a better starting point for comparing alternatives

I will show you what the current numbers establish, what they do not establish, and what I would need to verify before deciding which solution paths deserve attention.
